Clyde Hewitt Merit Award

What is it?

This award was established to honor a very active community member, Past Kiwanis President, and a recipient of the Kiwanian of the Year Award.  The merit award is to recognize members who, through their attendance and participation, are considered to be worthy of special recognition. All Kiwanians are encouraged to participate in the program every year. The award is computed on a Kiwanis year, October through September and requires 100 points to qualify.

Points:

Activities worth 1 point:   Club Meetings

  • Tuesday lunch meetings, Monthly Board meetings

Activities worth 3 points:  Off Site Meetings

  • Interclubs, Pearl Harbor Luncheon, Fireman of Year,  Policeman of Year

Activities worth 5 points:  Activities and Events

  • Salvation Army Bell Ringing, President's Project, Kiwanis One Day, Back to School Fair, Coats for Kids,Holiday Food Drive, Golf Outing, God and Fellow Man,  Inaugural, July 4 Parade, other special projects/events, Club Officers,  Board of  Directors,  Committee Chairs, Sponsored Group Liaisons

Activities worth 8 points: Fund Raisers

  • Pancake Day, Pancake Ticket Sales exceeding 30 tickets, Peanut Day; Placemat Ad

Activity worth 10 points:

  • Sponsor a New Member
