On July 25, 2017, the Kiwanis Club of Aurora Foundation committee recognized its spring 2017 grants. A total of $7,500 was distributed to the following... City of Lumos: Aurora's Harry Potter Festival, Fox Valley Hands of Hope, Fox Valley Special Recreation Association, Friends of Aurora's After-School Programs, Project HELP, Royal Family Kids Camp of Kane County, SPARK Aurora Early Childhood Collaboration, The A+ Foundation for West Aurora Schools, and YWCA. On a festive 4th of July afternoon at Tanner House in Aurora, the Kiwanis Club of Aurora handed-off to the Aurora Historical Society an information packed time capsule. Kiwanis historical archivist Cheryl Vonhoff placed the final rounds of duct tape to seal the club's history box. The box will be opened in the next century, 2116.
